Weekly Reading/(Readtheory)- Students must read and pass 4 quizzes with an 70% or above to attain the score of 100% for the week.

* It is important that parents NOT help students with Readtheory . The point is to get a true reading level for each student and watch them grow throughout the year. Students who receive help with reading or quizzes will only temporarily inflate their lexile/grade level reading score. Thank you for allowing your child to grow in their abilities on their own through consistent practice.

Please note:  ReadTheory is an in class assignment, unless the student did not pass with a 70% or higher score.   In that case, the student should read an additional passage at home to attain  a passing score.   Grades are collected from Monday- Friday of each week.  Grades will be recorded at the end of class on Friday..

Students will also receive a homework grade for completing the Graphic Organizer that accompanies the text.  Both the packet and graphic organizer are due on Tuesday of the following week.  Example:   Weekly Reading 1 Packet + Graphic organizer were assigned on Tuesday, January 8 , and are due on Tuesday, January 15.
