Welcome to AP Physics 1! This is a rigorous, conceptual, mathematically-based university-level experimental science course which involves study of the world around us. Some of the major topics are: motion, forces, gravity, energy, mechanical waves and sound, electrostatics, and DC circuits. This is a one-semester course (with daily 90-minute blocks) which will be followed by the AP Physics 1 exam in May of 2017. The challenge this semester is that we have only two six-week grading periods to complete the course in time to review and prepare for the AP exam on May 2nd!
The syllabus page shows a table-oriented view of the course schedule, and the basics of course grading. You can add any other comments, notes, or thoughts you have about the course structure, course policies or anything else.
