Course Syllabus

Welcome to SPANISH 1. (The above image is an interactive link directly to the textbook on line. I will provide the codes and passwords for all when we start.) Next to the textbook in the interactive workbook and next to that is the interactive practice site. Students can just click on the image and it will generate.

My objective is to help your child learn the language, appreciate the culture, and have fun learning! 

We have county assessments that the students will take in the form of two benchmarks that include reading, writing, speaking, listening and culture. Students will be speaking in class, recording the language, listening to the language, and writing in class regularly.

I give homework almost every night as students need to practice consistently. Please know that this is necessary and is not busy work.

I accept compliments as well :) Your child and you can also communicate with me here on Canvas. They will need to have the app on their phone. In this way, they can ask me questions at any time and I can make announcements or send out additional information to them outside of class as well. Technology has given us the opportunity to make education 24/7.

I grade on a point system. My syllabus will be given out in class and is available here as well.
