Six Weeks Syllabus for Eighth Grade

Below is a general outline of what your student will be covering in class this semester

 

Pre and Post Test

 

Students will be graded on the following:

  • Students will have a warm up and a exit slip
  • Introduction to Excel
  • Introduction to Power Point

 

Assessments

  • Class assignments and performance
  • Final Group Project

 

Classroom Performance Guidelines

 

  1. Students should be on time, in their seats and prepared to work
  2. Students are expected to listen and follow directions whether written or verbal
  3. Students are expected to treat each other and equipment with respect
  4. Please do not lean back in chairs.
  5. Book bags are to be left in their lockers.
  6. Bring folders, paper, and pencils to class everyday (pencils are not loaned out)

 

 Related Arts classes will follow the four step infraction policy for violation of class rules:

  • Student Warning
  • Parent Contact
  • Related Arts Detention with Parent Contact
  • Referral to Administrator

 

Each activity, class performance, posture/technique, projects, tests, etc. will be graded on a hundred point scales.

 

Grading:           90-100 – A

                        80-89 – B

                        70-79 – C

                        60-69 – D

Below 60 – F
