but you don’t know you’re not good until you try!”

Description of Course: Students will further their understanding of the framework of the elements of art and principles of design. Students will explore a variety of different techniques and mediums to understand how art influences history, culture, and the modern world. Students will also learn how to develop a project using the creative method.

Students will develop their:

• Eye, Brain, Hand Coordination
• Perception and Awareness
• Color Theory
• Understanding of Elements of Art /Principles of Design
• Art History
• Appreciation of Art
• Use of many different mediums

Examples:

• Observational Drawing
• Watercolor and Acrylic Paintings
• Narrative Art
• Art History
• Fiber Arts (Weaving, sewing, paper making)
• Ceramics
