  • 3 ring binder (used for EES class ONLY; you will need to bring it to each class on YOUR ASSIGNED DAY)
  • Writing utensil

Classroom Rules:

  • RESPECT everyone, show INTEGRITY 
  • Arrive to class on time and be prepared with all materials.
  • Computers will ONLY be used during instructional time (when needed).
  • Other electronic devices (cellphones, headphones etc…) should be kept in your bag unless otherwise instructed.
  • Maintain Social Distance *Do Not Get Out Of Your Seat To Randomly Visit Classmates*
  • Keep your area clean and neat.

 

Weekly Activities:

(1) WarmUps, (2) Notetaking & Discussion, (3) Independent Assignments, (4) Collaborative Groups (Labs, Games etc…), (5) Exit Tickets, (6) Quizzes (occasional Tests), (7) Projects.

 

Grading Scale:

A= 90-100

B= 80-89

C= 70-79

D= 60-69

F= ≤ 59

 

Grade Distribution:

Homework/Classwork- 20%

Labs/Projects-30%

Do Now/Participation-10%

Tests/Quizzes- 40%

 

Note: Your final exam grade will count for 25% of your final grade in this course.

 

Classroom Procedures:

Entering the Classroom

1. WEAR YOUR MASK!!!!

2. Go directly to your seat & take out your notebook.

 

** NO STUDENTS ARE ALLOWED OUT OF CLASS DURING THE FIRST OR LAST 20 MINS OF CLASS**

 

 Where to Locate Assignments

1. The daily agenda will be posted on the whiteboard

2. Assignments, due dates, test & quiz dates will be posted AND verbally stated

3. If you are absent for your specific day you can find the work you missed posted in CANVAS 

 Turning in Assignments

1. Online assignments will be turned in via Canvas

2. Homework assignments (worksheets) will be placed inside of your binder *WE WILL HAVE NOTEBOOK CHECKS REGULARLY*.

3. Classwork (worksheets) will be placed inside of your binder, unless otherwise instructed.

**NO NAME, NO GRADE**

 Finding out Grades

1. You are expected to track your grades via Canvas and PowerSchool.

2. Send an email, text or call, set up a virtual conference for any concerns/questions regarding your grades.

 

**My Expectation: All homework assignments are completed ON TIME with student having tried their best, if I mark any assignment as “missing” in the gradebook, you will have until the end of the unit to make it up before a zero is given. YOU WILL BE WORKING EACH DAY EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT IN THE BUILDING!!**

 

Ending Class

1. We will have a final discussion at the end of EACH class preparing you for the next set of assignments! 

2. DO NOT LINE UP AT THE DOOR OR VISIT CLASSMATES before the bell rings.

 

Consequences for Classroom/School Rule Violations

      • Classroom – warnings, individual conference with student, call or e-mail to parent/guardian, removal from class and/or referral
      • School- call or e-mail to parent/guardian and/or referral.

 

Restroom Breaks

1. Group restroom breaks may be done as a whole group.

2. You will be given the chance to go to the restroom after the first 20 minutes of class

 

Notebooks:

      • Keep them neat and organized! All assignments should be placed in order of completion according to CANVAS.
      • When given an assignment, notes etc…, immediately placing them in your notebook will decrease the chance of misplacing them.
      • I will be checking REGULARLY to see if your syllabus, notes, handouts and warm ups are located in your notebook.
      • You will be graded on: organization and completion of assignments.

 

Tutoring:

DO NOT wait until right before a test or quiz to see me for additional help, if you do not understand something. BE PROACTIVE!

I am available: Monday & Wednesday from 3:05pm-4:05pm via Microsoft Teams or CANVAS Conference  -AND- Fridays from 8:30am-3:30pm
