Course Syllabus

Supplies: Required by Tues January 19th. 

 

 1 yard of felt (Project One) Felt Monsters 

Package of felt assorted colors 

One bag of stuffing

 

One yard of cotton fabric for Apron (Project Two)

Pattern for basic Apron 

 

Pillow form any shape you wish (Project 3)

1-2 yards of fabric for your pillow 

 

2 zippers white or black ( zippered  cases monogrammed)Project 4 

Additional Supplies Needed: 

Package of Sewing needles assorted sizes 

One package of larger needles for practicing stitching with yarn14/18

Package of Assorted Buttons 

Package of  plastic bobbins

2 Black and 2 White, 2 Choice of Color Coats and Clark Thread

 

 

 

Expectations: 

Follow school rules

Be here on time

Have materials and supplies on time

No cell phones/other devices unless I say so

No food/drinks near equipment

Limit request to leave room

Avoid excessive talking

Use time wisely

Do your own work and work independently

Use your own assigned equipment. Take care of machine and supplies.

Keep personal work and storage space 

Charges for broken machines/other equipment will be determined if necessary

1. 3-ring binder ( 1 ½ inches) with Loose-leaf notebook paper and Dividers or Notebook 
2. Pens, pencils, highlighters, sharpie   
3. Magic Markers   
4. Ruler 
5. Colored Pencil 
6. Glue Stick

Grading :

1. Class Participation/Daily Work    25%           
2. Tests 25% 
3. Quizzes                            25%
4. Projects                      25%
