World History Class

Course Description: World History-the students will explore reocurring themes of human experiences common civilizations around the globe from ancient to contemporary themes. Students will study themes of geography and cultural traits of civilizations which shaped them. To become informed citizens, students require knowledge of the civilizations that have shaped the develpoment of the world. World History provides the  foundation that enables students to acquire this knowledge, which will  be used in the study of Civics,Economics,  and United  States History.

Grading Procedure: Notebook, Quizzes  Tests, and Projects wlll be graded on a point value. Points will be converted to percentage with a letter grade using the North Carolina grading scale:A-93-100,B-85-92,C-77-82, D-70-76, F-0-69                                                                                                                                                            

Homework:Students will be assigned homework periodically and will be expected to the assignments thoroughly and completely. Homework will be graded.
