Welcome to Señora Mays' Salsarrific Web Site!  Here you can get all the information about your Spanish class-- homework, tests, quizzes, projects, and extra credit.

Level One Spanish (Year-long):  We will be covering the curriculum for high school Spanish 1.  There will be a final exam at the end of the course.  Earning a satisfactory score on the final exam and final grade in the course earns students credit for Spanish 1.  Students can move to Spanish 2 upon entering high school.  This is a year-long course.

Classroom Supplies Needed:  For my class, you need pencils (pens are OK, except for red ink or Sharpies), paper, a folder, and a set of headphones or earbuds for listening and speaking activities. Please, no marble composition books ("cow" notebooks). The textbooks and workbooks for the 8th grade classes are a class set.  You can get a copy of the vocabulary list for each chapter from this site.  Click on and print the page, and you can keep it in your folder for reference when doing homework.

Note:  After the first few days of class, you will need to bring your laptop to class every day.  We will be doing lots of fun and interesting activities on Canvas, Google Apps, and various web sites to enhance our learning.
