Students need: a notebook, laptop, and a pencil.

Student expectations: 

Students will read for 20 minutes each day in a book of their choice and then journal in their notebooks about what they read and how it impacts the story.

Students will take notes on academic vocabulary and participate in group activities to apply these definitions.

Students will use computer software (IXL and i-ready) to practice new skills in reading and writing.

Students will be assessed on a weekly basis for mastery of new skills.
