UCEC Daily Schedule

I wish to welcome everyone to American History II. It covers the history of the United States from the end of the 19th Century to the present.  It is the second of the required US History courses you will take in your high school career.

This is an Honors level course and there are certain things that will help you be successful:

  • Be on time, every day
  • Bring all your materials every day
  • Complete homework & assignments, every day
  • Go above and beyond the requirements
  • Read and review your material every day
  • Maintain a working notebook
  • Use correct grammar

Expectations:

  • As to my expectations, I base everything on one word, RESPECT. I expect each student to respect other students, themselves and the instructor.
  • Everyone should come prepared for class with your computer, notebook, paper, and pen (blue or black only) or a pencil. All homework and notes should be kept in a 3-ring binder.

 Grades/Assignments:

  • Grades are based on total points.  My goal is for all students to be successful, which you can do by staying on task and completing all assignments to the best of your ability.
  • Assignments will be due at the end of a unit, the day of a test.   Exceptions to this will be given a specific due date, such as projects.  Assignments turned in one day late will be marked down one letter grade. Assignments past one day late will not be accepted.
  • Whenever you miss a class you are responsible to make up the work.  You will need to take the initiative and ask me for missed work and when it needs to be completed.
  • Use your tutoring time during the school week wisely and ask for additional help as needed.

If you have any questions or concerns, please ask!  I am looking forward to a tremendous year and I hope you are too!!!
