HOMEWORK

Homework is an important part of mathematics; practicing problems will help you learn the material so make sure you do it.  Therefore, I will assign homework daily and expect you to do your best on each assignment.  Assignments will be collected daily.  It is YOUR responsibility to keep up with assignments.

QUIZZES and TESTS

Quizzes and Tests will be written on the board, so the majority of quizzes will be announced.  You may have up to 2-3 quizzes per chapter and a test at the end of each unit.  And you may do test corrections AND retest to improve your test grade.  Test corrections can be completed before school or during my tutoring hours after school.

 EXAMS

At the end of the semester, you will take the Math III NC Final Exam made by Union County Schools.  This test will count as 25% of your final grade.  There are NO Exam Exemptions.

 ABSENCES

If at any time you are absent, it is your responsibility to obtain and complete the assignments in the allotted time (2 days for each excused absence).  This applies to all work.  It is your responsibility to notify me when you wish to make up work.  You may make up quizzes and tests before or after school.  ISS is not considered an absence; therefore, you are expected to have the assignment completed the day it is due.

PROGRESS REPORTS

Progress Reports will be sent home 3 weeks into each grading period.  This is to inform you and your parents of your progress in your Math class. These are to be signed and returned.  You will also be able to check your grade through PowerSchool online.
