Supplies-Needed:

Two Composition Notebooks (One for Reading/One for Writing)

Loose-leaf paper

Colored pencils; Markers; Highlighter; Dry erase marker

Glue sticks and/or tape

Sticky notes

Pencils; Pens (2 different colors)

 

Supplies-Wish List:

Tissues

Paper Towels

Disinfecting Wipes and/or Spray (Seventh Generation)

Amazon Wish List

 

Procedures:

Students will come to class prepared and on time.

Students will turn in any work that is due and agendas will be open up to that day’s date.

Students will be in their seat and working quietly on the warm-up by the time the bell rings.

Students will be expected to read, take notes, participate in class discussions and activities, and behave in a respectful manner.

Students will write daily in their agenda.

 

Canvas:

Class material and assignments can be found in Canvas. It will be updated as needed.

 

Homework:

It is my expectation that students will read daily in class and at home.

Other assignments will be given as needed and turned in on time.

 

Classwork/Projects:

It is my expectation that students will complete all work to the best of their ability and turned in on time.

 

Grading Policy:

Assignments, Activities, and Quizzes-will count once

Unit Assessments and Projects-will count twice

**Students are expected to complete all work above on time and to the best of their ability;

therefore, no “extra credit” assignments will be given/accepted.**

 

Absences:

UCPS Policy-Students have two days for every day absent to make up missed work.

 

Expectations:

Arrive on time and stay the entire class.

Come prepared to participate, learn, and have fun!

Complete all work on time and always do your best.

Be respectful of others and their possessions.

Ask questions and/or ask for help if you do not understand.

 

Consequences (Positive and Negative):

Positive:

Daily: Panther Bucks; Contact parent; Affirmations; “Kiss Your Brain”

End of Term: Panther Bucks (Each class potential; Max. 18) A=3, B=2, C=1; 0 days missed=3

 

Negative:

Verbal discussion with student

Contact parent (phone call, email, agenda)

Conference with/Referral to administration
