Virtual Learning Resources

  • If you're looking to supplement the remote learning lessons that began on April 1st, below you can find a few literacy resources that you have at your disposal:
    • My personal favorite: Actively Learn: This resource has updated everyone to a 'Premium Subscription' while we're facing the challenge of being out of school. There are SO many reading options that you can explore under the 'Independent Reading Catalog' -- all organized by grade level, topic, genre, page number, etc! There are plenty of full length novels on this site!
    • Upfront Magazine: Here you can read current events articles that are updated bi-weekly. Feel free to practice writing objective summaries after reading! :) Reminder, our class code is: dogtoy8277
    • Kelly Gallagher's Article of the Week: Kelly Gallagher  is an award winning educational expert who helps teachers facilitate deeper reading and writing. He posts globally relevant articles every Monday morning! :)
    • Read TheoryYou all know and love this resource already! ;)
  • As always, feel free to reach out to me via email at any time! I'm more than happy to answer any questions you may have or to engage in any conversations with you about what you've been reading/ spending your time on while away from school!
