Grading Scale      Weights

90 – 100  A             45% Formative

80 – 89  B              45% Summative

70 – 79  C              10% Homework

60 – 69  D             

0 – 59  F

Homework

  • Assigned every Monday
  • Due every Friday
  • Only exceptions are benchmark weeks

Quizzes/Tests 

  • Every Wednesday unless it is not a school day or a benchmark week
  • Students can improve their grades by completing Quiz Remediation assignments.  This can be done during academic lunch or at home.

Benchmark Tests

  • Unit 1: Number System
  • Unit 2: Expressions & Equations
  • Unit 3: Ratios & Proportions
  • Unit 4: Geometry

Absences

If you are absent from class, it is your responsibility to get your missed work.  Use your Weekly Math time to copy any missed notes from a classmate.  Make sure you ask me for any copies of assignments you may have missed.   

Behavior Plan

  1. Verbal Warning
  2. Bounce to Mrs. McKinney or Mr. Mahoney
  3. Silent Lunch (Parent phone call ONLY if you choose not to comply)
  4. After School Detention & Parent Contact
  5. Team/Student Conference & Parent Contact
  6. Team/Student/Parent Conference
  7. Referral to Mr. Bellamy
