Study Skills Course Description and Expectations
The Study Skills class is designed for students who need additional academic and organizational support during the school day. In the class, they receive additional instruction in their current academic classes as well as support with organization and planning of projects and assignments. The classes typically are smaller than core classes with a student-teacher ratio of approximately 12:1.
Each student will be graded on the following areas each equally 20% of their grade:
* Agenda, daily planner, or device of students’ choosing to demonstrate knowledge of assignments and upcoming tests and quizzes.
* On-task behavior in the class
* Homework attempted and/or completed
* Maintaining organization
* General compliance and behavior
