Civics & Economics CP Course Syllabus and Guideline

Welcome to Civics & Economics CP! This course gives students the opportunity to learn the duties and responsibilities associated with American citizenship. They will also learn how the governmental and economic systems work in the United States. This course provides the foundations for future core classes such as American History.
Grading Policy
Unit Tests: Unit tests are usually given on Tuesdays and Fridays. Unit Tests are weighted 30% of your six weeks grade.
Quizzes: Quizzes are usually given on Mondays and Wednesdays. Most quizzes will be taken through Canvas. Quizzes are weighted 20% of your six weeks grade.
Presentations / Projects: Presentations and Projects will sometimes be individual and other times with partners or groups of three or four. Presentations and projects are weighted 20% of your six weeks grade.
Daily Grades: Includes your weekly assignments (Guided Notes, Terms, Worksheets, etc.). Daily Grades are weighted 30% of your six weeks grade.
**Final Semester Grade: There are three six-weeks grades and one final teacher-made exam. Each one counts as 25% of your final grade for the semester.

You are expected to log in to the class Canvas page daily. It will house all the information needed for daily assignments and upcoming assignments. Most assignments must also be submitted through Canvas.
