How will this work Virtually:

Students will be given weekly modules to work through.  They will work through it at their own pace.  I will narrate some of the presentations, others I will not. I will provide worksheets you will need to complete and submit on Canvas.  Fridays, I will have a conference open for you to log in and ask questions.  You will have projects, quizzes, tests and a daily physical activity log that you must complete.  This is how we take attendance.  We will not let you struggle or become overwhelmed.  We are here to help you!

What does my student need for this class:

  1. A great attitude.  This year is going to be very different. With a positive attitude we can get throught this new educational model together.
  2. A daily check in.  Students need to check in with the teacher daily either by email, Canvas messenger or other agreed upon means that week.  We need to make sure your needs are met.
  3. To be prepared for class whether in person or remote.  This means:
    • Having a Single subject notebook
    • Having pen/pencil
    • Having your chromebook fully charged and your charge with you

What are the academic assignments for this class:

  1. Classwork
  2. Tests
  3. Projects
  4. Discussion Boards
  5. Final Exam

These assignments are graded based on a total points concept.  The term grade is calculated by dividing the  total number of points available by total points earned, therefore working hard, providing quality work products and submitting all assignments are important parts of student grading.
