    Directions:

    1. List 3 character traits that describe you. Make 2 of them positive, and 1 of them slightly negative.

For example, I would say that I am empathetic, helpful, yet can be lazy.

    2. Next, give an example from your life that supports the character traits you have given yourself.

For example, I would say that I am empathetic because I am willing to put others' needs before my own. During my second year teaching, I was extremely busy with teaching and coaching Track & Field, but there was a family that I would help out and babysit their kids, something I started doing in college. Whenever they gave me dates they needed me, I agreed despite having track meets during those days. So my Saturdays were spent at Track & Field meets and then I would head straight to their house to watch the kids. I needed time to relax yet I put the needs of the family before my own.

Next, I am lazy because each time I'm with a group of people and am thirsty/hungry, I will wait until someone else gets up so I can ask them to grab me the same thing. I don't always do this intentionally, but it's become a "thing" and now my entire family calls me lazy because of it!
