Course Syllabus

Welcome to Math 4!!!

In Math 4 we will extend some of the concepts you touched on in Math 1, 2 and 3, specifically graphing functions, logarithms & trigonometry.  And also look at Statistics and its applications in todays world. For a more specific outline of what topics will be covered, follow this link to the Math 4 Standards

If you are experiencing problems with technology, the expectations for this class are that you follow the steps below so that I know you handled the situation in the proper way:

  • If you are having a problem that needs a very fast response because it is preventing you from getting into the class during class time please do one of the following things:
    •  Call PRHS at 704-292-7662 and tell them you cannot get into class, they will direct your call to someone who can help, or have someone call you right back, so have a number they can reach you at  AND send me  an email and let me know what the problem is and that you did call the school.
    • OR Email Ms. Snelson (regina.snelson@ucps.k12.nc.us ) and copy me  about the problem you are experiencing.  If you think a screen shot would help, send that as well.  Ms. Snelson will get your problem to the right person at school to help.  Be sure you give them a phone number that they can reach you at in case they need to call.  It may be that you will need a technology ticket, and if you do, Ms. Snelson will tell you how to complete that.
  • If your tech issue is outside of class time and has to do with submitting work, Email me to let me know what the problem is and what it is preventing you from doing.  I expect you to do this when you are having the problem, not the following day, or hours later.  Please send me a screenshot so that I can also see what happened.  This screenshot (or you can take a picture with your phone) is required.
