Ms. Rosmon - Math Class

 

Materials Needed: 

• spiral notebook and folder OR

 

• 1 ½ inch 3-ring notebook

• folder

 

• pencils 

 

• highlighters

• markers or colored pencils  

 

 

How Your Grade will be Determined:

• Tests, Quizzes & Projects 50%
• Homework/classwork 50%

 

Expectations:

 

• Attendance - You need to be here and on time every day! 

• It’s very difficult to learn when you’re not here. 

• Behavior – Stay on task  

• Classwork/Grades – You will maintain at least an 80 average in my class. If your average drops below an 80, you will be expected to come to additional tutoring.

• Follow Directions & Class Procedures - Be in your seat with your assigned calculator and notebook before the bell rings and working on the “Do Now”. 

 

 

Rules:

 

• NO SLEEPING… EVER in my class!

• NO CELL PHONES . This is a Union County policy so there will be no exceptions.

• RESPECT: respect me, your classmates, and school property 

 

 

Tutoring:

• If you need tutoring, I will be available every morning at 7:30 and by appointment Mon - Thurs 3:05 – 3:30. It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to make prior arrangements with me if you plan to stay for tutoring after school on one of these days.

I’m excited to have the opportunity to work with your child this upcoming year! I believe open communication between you and I will play an important role in the success of your child. Please do not hesitate to call me at the school if you have any questions or concerns. The best times to reach me are from 7:20 a.m. - 7:55 a.m. and after school from 3:15 - 3:30 at (704) 296-3130.  Please use Power School Portal regularly to stay aware of your child’s grade.

I may also ask for your help on occasion, for example, I may give a homework assignment having your child explain to you how to solve a specific problem, step-by-step, and ask for your feedback. I want to thank you for your support ahead of time and I believe this is going to be a great year!
