- Scientific calculator – TI-30 or lower. Graphing calculators are permitted but not required.

Grading Scale:
- 40% Tests
- 25% Quizzes
- 20% Labs
- 15% Homework/Classwork
Honor Code: I have neither given nor received unauthorized aid on this work Unoriginal work will receive no credit as a final grade for all students involved.

General Classroom Expectations
- Respect the learning environment and the property of the county and the teacher.
- Be punctual and prepared
- Adhere to the Union County Public School guidelines for dress code, behavior, and procedures.
- Cell phones should stay in your belongings until the lesson is complete.
Lab Safety Procedures
- Review the lab safety materials before each experiment
- Behave maturely and use common sense
- Protect your eyes – goggles are required for every lab
- No food or drink at the lab tables
- Protect yourself and others from heat or open flames
- The glassware and chemicals are neither clean nor edible
- Do not mix, heat, or burn chemicals (or anything else) without permission.
- Inform the teacher if something is broken – do not try to use it during a lab.
- Inform the teacher if something spills – it is not always water!
- Wash your hands before and after each experiment.
- Report any suspected or known pregnancy
- Rinse, replace, and close all lab equipment and chemicals after each experiment
Students who persistently disregard the proper procedures will be removed from the labs and given alternative assignments.
